RH
53 Pipeline Construction (10 km)
Client:
National Petroleum Company (NPC)
For
the RH 53 Pipeline project, Synergy was responsible for the total quality
validation of a 10-kilometer stretch of new infrastructure. In cross-country
pipeline construction, the integrity of every single weld is the only way to
prevent environmental contamination and ensure the safe, long-distance
transport of petroleum resources.
The
Technical Edge
To
meet the National Petroleum Company's rigorous safety standards, we implemented
a 100% inspection mandate across the entire length of the project:
*
Radiographic Testing (RT): We performed X-ray inspections on every girth weld
throughout the 10km span. This allowed us to look inside the metal to verify
full penetration and identify any internal defects like slag or "lack of
fusion" that could lead to failures under pressure.
*
Continuous Monitoring: Our mobile RT teams synchronized with the construction
crews, providing rapid analysis and approval to keep the pipeline laying
schedule moving forward without compromising quality.
The
Result
By
certifying every weld along the 10km route, Synergy provided the NPC with a
fully validated, "zero-defect" pipeline. Our comprehensive RT
documentation ensures that the RH 53 line is prepared for decades of
high-pressure service, protecting both the client's assets and the surrounding
environment.
