NEOM
O3 Oxagon Project: Structural Steel & Hanger Fabrication
Client:
Al Fahd Company Trading, Industries and Contracting
For
the NEOM Oxagon—the world’s largest floating industrial structure—Synergy was
entrusted with the third-party structural inspection of high-span hangers and
specialized fabricated buildings. Given Oxagon’s unique offshore and coastal
environment, the structural integrity of every steel component is vital to
resisting both heavy operational loads and marine-based corrosion.
The
Technical Edge
Our
role involved rigorous quality oversight to ensure that the complex steel
geometries of the hangers and modular units met NEOM’s elite engineering
standards:
*
Structural Verification: We conducted comprehensive third-party audits of the
fabrication process, focusing on weld alignment, structural squareness, and
load-bearing capacity.
*
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Utilizing advanced inspection techniques, we
verified the soundness of critical joints to ensure they were free of defects
that could be magnified by the stresses of a floating industrial port.
The
Result
By
providing independent, high-precision inspections, Synergy guaranteed that the
components delivered to the O3 Oxagon site were ready for immediate
integration. Our certification ensured that these hangers and fabricated
buildings offer maximum durability, supporting the revolutionary infrastructure
of the Oxagon industrial hub.
