New AMONIA PIPELINE Extension
JORDAN DISTRICT COMPANY “JDE”
Ammonia
transport requires the highest tier of safety due to the hazardous and volatile
nature of the medium. Synergy was contracted to provide comprehensive quality
assurance for JDE’s new ammonia pipeline network, ensuring that every weld and
connection was capable of withstanding extreme chemical and pressure demands.
The
Technical Edge
To
guarantee a leak-proof system, our team executed a stringent testing protocol
throughout the installation phase:
*
Radiographic Testing (RT): We performed 100% volumetric inspection on critical
pipeline joints to ensure full weld penetration and the absence of internal
defects such as porosity or inclusions.
*
Penetrant Testing (PT): Applied to detect any fine surface-breaking cracks or
imperfections in the heat-affected zones of the welds.
*
Visual Testing (VT): Our certified inspectors conducted a final audit of the
pipeline’s alignment and external weld profiles to ensure they met the
project's precise engineering specifications.
The
Result
By
deploying this triple-method inspection strategy, Synergy ensured that the new
pipeline was fully compliant with international safety codes. Our work provided
Jordan District Energy with a certified, secure infrastructure, ready for the
safe and efficient transport of ammonia with zero risk of environmental
exposure.
